The truth about “Manifesting”
Manifest your true desires or You can manifest anything you want are some of the most common phrases I see and hear when people advertise their online or offline courses, to teach others how to get what they want in life. But the question that should be asked is “Can you really manifest whatever you desire” ?
Let me start with what I found online as the definition of the word MANIFESTATION.
According to a search on Google :
“A manifestation is the public display of emotion or feeling, or something theoretical made real. Manifestation’s origins are in religion and spirituality because if something spiritual becomes real, it is said to be a manifestation. The word’s usage has spread to include all aspects of life.”
If you look at the question “What does it mean to manifest your dreams?” then a search on Google returns :
“What does it mean to manifest hopes and dreams in your life? The idea of visualising something we want, and attracting it to us, is an ancient principle of life. Some choose to pray, while others chant, meditate, visualise or create affirmations.”
So I want to challenge you to think about this. If you desire something, in other words you really really want something, then according to many in the spiritual and esoterica realms of society, if you visualise it, if you focus on it, you start to attract it into your life, right? Does this mean that if you think about negative things, if you focus on negative things, then only negative things will happen?
Early on in my life I realised that if I wanted something really bad I needed to do two things. The first was to know exactly what I wanted. And when I say exactly I mean in detail, with timings, descriptions, specific details about the thing I wanted. It also meant that I knew exactly what I did not want. I remember wanting a computer as a kid, and I cant remember all the things I must have done to get the computer, but eventually I did get the computer. It was a “Spectravideo SV-328”, and when I got the gift I was over the moon. And that leads me to the second thing that you need to do. You need to take action, and as a kid I am sure my parents got me to do chores, things around the house to help out. They probably asked me to get good school results and when I was 11 or 12 I remember I got pretty excellent grades in what we then called Primary School.
To manifest something into your life, firtly you really need to look at the details of the “OBJECT” you want to manifest. In other words to make something become real, you need to focus and define exactly what it is. You also need to think of how you want to receive it. If you don’t then you will be surprised sometimes in the way in which the dreams get realised. But if you think that the only thing you need to do is focus on it, then you are never going to get what you truly want.
The second step you need to take is to actually do something to make your dream come true. So if you are looking for a new romantic partner, it will definitely not help you if all that you do is dream! You need to go out, socialise, meet new people, do things that will attract someone new, look after you as a person both mentally and physically, and take action. For those who prefer to stay indoors, watch TV, read a book on the couch, there is no possible way that you will be increasing the possibility of a new romantic partner, if you don’t get out of the house!
And this is how it applies to everything you want in life. Focus on something, define exactly what you want, how do you want to receive it, research more about it, find other places where you can come into contact with it, socialise or go to places where the opportunity of find it will increase your chances, and never give up. Timing is something only the universe has control of, but when you are ready for something, and when you do the work that you need to do, then you will be surprised with the results!
